# Lighter on Robinhood Chain

Integrating Lighter on Robinhood Chain: endpoints, chain ID, deposits, tiers and everything else that differs from Lighter mainnet.

Lighter also runs as a separate exchange on **Robinhood Chain** ("Lighter RH"). It uses the same transaction format, signer, REST API and WebSocket channels as Lighter mainnet, so everything in these docs applies. This page lists **only what's different**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**A separate exchange**

Lighter RH is a **separate exchange**, not another market on Lighter mainnet. Accounts, balances, API keys, nonces and account indexes don't carry over, and a transaction signed for one is rejected by the other.
{% endhint %}

The full API reference for RH is at [API Reference](https://docs.lighter.xyz/api).

To point the [TypeScript quickstart](/developers/getting-started/quickstart-typescript.md) at RH, change only the config:

```shell
export LIGHTER_URL=https://api.rh.lighter.xyz
export LIGHTER_CHAIN_ID=466324
```

The read-only WebSocket for restricted regions works the same: `wss://api.rh.lighter.xyz/stream?readonly=true`.

Secure withdrawals go through the contract's `withdraw` method, as on mainnet. Transfers to other addresses and fast withdrawals need the owner's L1 signature, as on mainnet (see [When an L1 signature is required](/developers/reference/wasm-signer.md#when-an-l1-signature-is-required)).

## API keys

Indexes **0–3 and 157** are reserved for Lighter's web and mobile apps. Use **4–156 or 158–254** for your integration. Auth tokens, read-only tokens and maker-only keys work as on mainnet.

## Account tiers

Premium/Advanced tiers are based on your **14-day trading volume**, not on staked LIT.

|                      | Standard (default) | Plus                 | Premium/Advanced                                               |

| Taker latency        | 300 ms             | 300 ms               | 200 ms, down to 150 ms at > $500M volume                       |

| sendTx / sendTxBatch | within 60 req/min  | 8,000/min            | 4,000–24,000/min by volume                                     |
| REST (non-sendTx)    | 60 req/min         | 120,000 weighted/min | 24,000 weighted/min                                            |
| Sub-accounts         | 8                  | 8                    | 8                                                              |

Differences from mainnet to watch for:

* **Standard maker orders are not free of delay.** On mainnet, post-only orders on Standard execute with a 0 ms delay; on RH they wait 200 ms.
* **Sub-accounts are capped at 8 on every tier** (mainnet: 4 Standard, 16 Plus, 64 Premium/Advanced).

Premium/Advanced volume tiers:

| 14-day volume | Maker fee | Taker fee | Taker latency | sendTx / min |
| ------------- | --------- | --------- | ------------- | ------------ |
| Under $1M     | 0.0120%   | 0.0350%   | 200 ms        | 4,000        |
| > $1M         | 0.0117%   | 0.0341%   | 195 ms        | 5,000        |
| > $10M        | 0.0114%   | 0.0333%   | 190 ms        | 6,000        |
| > $20M        | 0.0108%   | 0.0315%   | 180 ms        | 7,000        |
| > $50M        | 0.0102%   | 0.0298%   | 170 ms        | 8,000        |
| > $200M       | 0.0096%   | 0.0280%   | 160 ms        | 12,000       |
| > $500M       | 0.0084%   | 0.0245%   | 150 ms        | 24,000       |

Switching tiers works as on mainnet ([changeAccountTier](https://docs.lighter.xyz/api/account), 24-hour cooldown on downgrades).

## Rate limits

REST weights on RH:

| `transferFeeInfo`                                                                                                                             | 500    |
| `trades`, `recentTrades`                                                                                                                      | 600    |
| `changeAccountTier`, `tokens`, `tokens/revoke`, `setAccountMetadata`, `notification/ack`, `createIntentAddress`, `fastwithdraw`, `referral/*` | 3,000  |
| `tokens/create`                                                                                                                               | 23,000 |
| Others                                                                                                                                        | 300    |

Note that `trades` costs 600 on RH (200 on mainnet).

Per-transaction-type limits are the same as on mainnet. The [volume quota](/developers/reference/volume-quota.md) works the same way: one extra transaction per $2 of volume, starting at 1,000 and capped at 15,000,000, shared across the L1 address.

## Checklist for supporting both

* Keep **base URL and chain ID together** in one config object; never mix them.
* Store account indexes, API keys and nonces **per exchange**.
* Read market IDs and decimals from each exchange's `orderBookDetails`; don't reuse mainnet market IDs.
* Label balances by collateral (USDC vs USDG).

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.lighter.xyz/developers/robinhood-chain/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
